Who is Eligible to Apply for an Expedited U.S. Passport Renewal?

· You still have your U.S. passport in your possession.

· Your previous U.S. passport was issued when you were age 16 or over.

· Your previous U.S. passport was issued no more than 15 years ago.

· Your current U.S. passport is undamaged.

Step 1: Complete DS-82 application form

To apply for a passport renewal, you will need an application form called DS-82. This form will have to be completed online. The passport office will not accept hand-written DS-82 applications. After completing your application form, print it on two separate pages, ensuring that the pages are not printed back-to-back. The form must have an original signature of the applicant.

Step 2: Gather all required documents

Once you have completed the online form and signed it, prepare the following documents before continuing the application process:
